The ACEC Life/Health trust was formed in 1965 to provide insurance benefits to its members. This is one of the older association health plans in the country. Currently there are more than 1,500 employer groups with over 70,000 total members. The average size firm taking advantage of the AHIP is 28 employees.
The insurance benefits are administered by UnitedHealthcare out of Illinois.
